What is EVIT?

The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is a public, joint technical education district (JTED) that serves students who reside in East Valley school districts.  Students from Apache Junction, Chandler, Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, Tempe, Higley and J.O. Combs spend a half-day at EVIT in a career preparation program and the other half-day at their home high school.

Eleventh and twelfth-grade students can attend EVIT tuition-free.  Bus transportation is provided to and from EVIT by the student’s home school district for most programs. High school students also have the option of enrolling in career and technical education (CTE) classes at their home school. These classes are offered by the school districts and funded by EVIT.

It is the policy of the East Valley Institute of Technology District #401 to provide all persons with equal employment and education opportunities regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, marital status, age or disability. District grievance procedures will be followed for compliance with Title IX and Section 504 requirements. The compliance officer is the EVIT Superintendent.
