The course includes 1,500 hours of instruction in theory and practical skills required for licensure by the Arizona State Board of Barbers. Theory and practical precede lab activities, and students must complete 250 hours in freshman classroom and pass a final that demonstrates competence in theory and practical skills before being allowed to participate in lab activities.
