The Arizona Legislature has approved a budget for next school year that includes funding for CTED Completion Grants. This money is for high school seniors who are graduating this spring but have not yet competed their EVIT training. It funds one more year for them to return to EVIT as high school graduates and complete their program. This is a great opportunity for your student who would otherwise have to pay tuition to return to EVIT as an adult to finish their training.

To qualify, students must have completed at least 50 percent of their EVIT program and graduate from high school this spring. Important to note: They should also currently be engaged with their instructor and participating in the online classrooms and other learning opportunities EVIT is providing during the COVID 19 campus shutdown.

As always, the most important thing for all of us right now is to stay safe and to follow state and federal guidelines for preventing the spread of the COVID 19 Coronavirus. But we also need to remember that this crisis will eventually end and students will still need career training that prepares them for the workforce, college or the military. The CTED Completion Grants basically would give your graduating senior one more year of tuition-FREE training. So we hope your student will take advantage of this opportunity.
